WHAT YOU WILL DO
The job holder is responsible for greeting and assisting the customers, guests, visitors in the most polite way, offering highest level of customer service and facilitating smooth entry and exit of customers


WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Ensures opening, closing checklists of (Counter/Migration/Flight Simulator) are complete with remarks if any, checks visual appearance, leaflets, posters, systems and scanners of the areas assigned, acts as a queue controller, runner, reconciles and cleans tags at the end of shift
  • Attends briefing before every shift, is well groomed and maintains discipline with the Central Cash Room policies and procedures
  • Greets customers, understands the requirement, proactively provides relevant information pertaining to the transaction, promotes current packages, services, express tickets, toddlers activities, birthday packages and cross sells attractions, is aware of events and encourages repeat visits
  • Performs the job according to the scripts, implements revisions in standard operating procedures of the department, ensures zero tolerance on restrictions, ensures safe cash handling
  • Prioritizes emergencies during busy days in attending to schools kids at the mall entrance, helping adults locate kids, proper usage of the outgoing phone facility
  • Reports all kinds of incidents, malfunctions, customer complaints, media or legal enquiries to the Line Manager
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of the assigned work station at all times
  • Reconciles KidZos transactions accurately at the end of shift in compliance with the policy
  • Guides and supports new joiners in their performance delivery to meet the required standards

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Customer Service industry.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Our client, a large semi-government entity in Abu Dhabi with global operations is looking to recruit a Group Accountant who will report directly to the Head of Accounting.
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the monthly close of a number of entities of various functional currencies and business segments in compliance with IFRS.
  • Monthly close of selected holding companies.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly/annual consolidated financial statement and related documents.
  • Responsible for accounting close of treasury transactions utilizing Quantum & Oracle software.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting requests for the Executive Counsel.
  • Statutory audit and preparation of annual accounts for selected holding companies.
  • Preparation of the draft quarterly MD&A for further review throughout the business.
  • Preparation of any technical accounting papers to support decisions and judgments on the most appropriate accounting treatment based on IFRS and the preferences of senior management.
  • Maintain the Corporate Accounting Policy Manual and ensure the manual is updated to reflect any business developments and IFRS updates.

Key Deliverables

Department Definition

The Communications department handles all external communications, including earned news, public relations, media relations, editing, translation, and other writing (e.g. web stories, thought leadership), as well as attracting media to attend and cover the event and manage their facilities and services. The key purpose of the department is to communicate Expo 2020 Dubai news to media, locally, regionally and internationally, to generate positive coverage, which translates into achieving our goal of 25 million visits during the six-month event.

Opportunity Responsibilities

The Media Operations Administration Co-ordinator will be part of the Media Operations team who are responsible for design, planning and management of all media facilities, services and operational requirements.
Media Operations, a department within Communications, is responsible for providing all the services and facilities the accredited media need to do their jobs, both when on the Expo site and when working remotely. This includes all the planning and preparation in advance of the Event.

Reporting to the Director Media Operations, the Media Operations Administration Co-ordinator plays a vital role in shaping the operation of the entire department to ensure an effective media operation is maintained. The Administration Co-ordinator will support the Director and be responsible for the necessary flow and storage of department documentation, coordinate meetings, manage the creation and distribution of meeting minutes, assist with procurement processes and purchase requisitions and other tasks as necessary.
Main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide high level support to the Director, Media Operations and scheduling coordination;
  • Actively support team members with their document control requirements;
  • Manage and maintain centralised materials (documents, reports, policies);
  • Manage department reporting deadlines and milestones;
  • Assist with arranging external and internal meetings, workshops, support the financial management and procurement process, raising requests for services and goods;
  • Interface with all staff within the department for effective coordination, contribute as an active and positive team member;
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of pre-event meetings and functions, assist where required with event-time staff and volunteer training;
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment be complying with the corporation’s health and safety policies, standards practices and programme.

Skills

  • 2+ years in a similar role and experience working in and with large corporations;
  • A degree or diploma within a related field;
  • Experience supporting a director and team in an administrative capacity;
  • Fluent in English and Arabic and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal
